The Human Library
On March 29, 2025, the Human Library—sponsored by Wethersfield Public Schools in partnership with the Social Justice Coalition (with members from The Collective), Wethersfield Social and Youth Services, the Wethersfield Public Library, Wethersfield Early Childhood Collaborative, and the Wethersfield Historical Society—offered a powerful space for empathy, connection, and mutual learning. Inspired by its success, plans are underway for another Human Library event in 2026.
Community Conversations
Community conversations create space for honest dialogue, allowing people to share experiences, listen deeply, and challenge assumptions. They strengthen understanding across differences and foster empathy, connection, and trust. Over time, these conversations build a more inclusive and resilient community where everyone feels seen and valued. Building on the important work of the former Wethersfield Social Justice Coalition, we plan to host more community conversations to carry this effort forward.
